Yes,
the Dixie Chicks still exist. They proved it Monday night at a concert
to raise money for victims of the recent Texas wildfires. Natalie Maines
told the crowd “there was zero hesitation” when the Chicks were asked
to perform for the benefit in her home state of Texas. She and her
bandmates joined George Strait, Willie Nelson and other musicians during
a mega-concert in Austin that raised more than $500,000. A fire that
started September 4th in Central Texas destroyed at least 1,500 homes
and killed two people.
