God
gave him Miranda Lambert, and “God Gave Me You” has given Blake Shelton
his fifth consecutive No. 1 single. “God Gave Me You,” penned by
Christian/pop star Dave Barnes, is Blake’s 10th overall chart-topper. It
has broken the record made by his last No. 1 song, “Honey Bee,” to
become his fastest rising single to date. Blake has three more concert
dates left in 2011, in addition to a performance slot on the CMA Awards
broadcast. He’ll take a brief break for the holidays before he starts
taping Season 2 of “The Voice” and kicking off his headlining tour. The
“Well Lit & Amplified Tour 2012” will kick off January 14th in
Lincoln, Nebraska, hitting arenas in 27 cities before wrapping up in
March. Opening acts include Justin Moore and Dia Frampton, who placed
second on the inaugural season of “The Voice.” “The Voice makes its
season premiere right after the Super Bowl on February 5th.
