Easton Corbin is a native of Gilchrist County, Florida. After
taking guitar lessons from session musician Pee Wee Melton at age 15,
Corbin joined a band, which won an opening slot at a music festival,
followed by opening slots for Janie Fricke and Mel McDaniel.
-
Corbin later attended the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and earned an agribusiness degree.
-
Easton signed to Mercury Records Nashville in 2009 and released
his debut single, “A Little More Country Than That,” followed by a
self-titled debut album in March 2010.
-
Corbin is the first country male artist in 17 years to have his
first two consecutive singles reach No. 1 – “A Little More Country Than
That” and “Roll With It.”
-
Corbin has pulled the plug on a handful of his October
concerts, due to doctor’s orders. In a message posted to his official
website, Corbin apologized and explained that he’s been feeling a little
under the weather lately.
