Wayne
Scott, who released his first album at 71 with the help of his son,
producer/songwriter Darrell Scott, died Friday after a car accident. He
was 77. Darrell Scott said his father apparently ran a red light in
front of a semi-trailer in Corbin, Kentucky. Wayne’s wife Linda was also
in the car and is still in the hospital for injuries including a broken
pelvis. Wayne Scott, a Kentucky native, released “This Weary Way” in
2005 on Full Light Records. As a youth, he listened to the Grand Ole
