Urban’s recent throat surgery was a success, the singer’s spokesman
said. Urban is said to be recovering at an undisclosed location.
Although he’s been placed on full vocal rest and ordered by doctors not
to speak for three weeks, Keith looks forward to regaining his voice and
hitting the stage once again. In a video posted shortly before last
Tuesday’s procedure, which involved the removal of a polyp from his
vocal cord, Keith thanked fans for such a “crazy, great, phenomenal
year.” In particular, he expressed his gratitude to those who supported
his “Get Closer World Tour 2011” and responded to news of his vocal woes
by sending get-well cards, flowers and emails.
