McBride is heading to New Orleans. The singer is helping Royal
Caribbean International celebrate the cruise line’s return to New
Orleans with a special performance aboard Voyager of the Seas this
Saturday. At 1,020 feet long and 157 feet wide, Voyager of the Seas is
believed to be the largest cruise ship ever to make its homeport in the
city. The ship will be based in New Orleans this winter and next winter
and is expected to generate more than 75,000 cruise guests for the city.
Royal Caribbean International is billing the ship as one of the world’s
10 largest and most innovative cruise ships. It includes a
rock-climbing wall, ice-skating rink, nine-hole mini-golf course, inline
skating track and full-sized basketball court.
