Arkansas Road Named Rock ‘N’ Roll Highway

A segment of U.S. Highway 67 in Texarkana, Arkansas, has been renamed Rock ‘n’ Roll Highway because Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison drove that route while on the Louisiana Hayride circuit in the 1950s. The musicians would take that route from Memphis to Louisiana or Texas. A sign was unveiled last week.
