Pat Green was born in San Antonio and raised in Waco, Texas, the eighth of nine siblings.

Green began his musical career when he was 18 and in college at
Texas Tech in Lubbock. He released his first independent album,
“Dancehall Dreamer,” in 1995.

After a series of self-released albums, Green released his
first major label album, “Three Days,” in 2001. He scored his first Gold
album with 2003’s “Wave on Wave.”

Green’s 2004 album, “Lucky Ones,” which features special guests
Brad Paisley and Amanda Wilkinson, contains the hit singles “Don’t
Break My Heart Again” and “Baby Doll.”

Pat Green and BNA Records split after two albums. Green
released “Cannonball” in 2006 and “What I’m For” in January 2009. Both
reached No. 2 on the album charts. Green had six singles chart from the
two albums, with “Feels Just Like It Should” peaking at No. 13 in 2006
and “Let Me” at No. 12 in 2008. Two other singles from “What I’m For” –
“Country Star” and the title track – failed to make it into the top 25.

Pat Green will release a new album, “Songs We Wish We’d Written
II,” on February 28th. He recorded the first volume with Cory Morrow in
2001. The new project includes Green’s renditions of material by
Collective Soul, Joe Ely, Warren Haynes, Lyle Lovett, Shelby Lynne, Jon
Randall and Tom Petty, among others. He’s currently writing material for
a new album to be recorded early next year.
