Hillary Scott To Help Construct Orphanage In Haiti
Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott has announced that she will lend a hand to the homeless and impoverished population of Haiti by opening an orphanage and community center. Scott has teamed with Missy and Mike Wilson, a couple who have adopted two Haitians of their own, and the MyLifeSpeaks organization in the venture. The center will be located in Neply, a city roughly 25 miles south of Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s capital and most populous city. It will house roughly eight children, while providing a cafeteria to service even more children from the community. Scott says that watching the Wilson’s adoptees flourish with their care has inspired her to help other Haitian children.
