The Band Perry
-
The Band Perry is comprised of siblings Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry. The three grew up playing gigs in Mobile, Alabama.
-
The trio spent time writing and recording music in Nashville,
where they were discovered by label executives Jimmy Harnen and Scott
Borchetta. The group signed to Republic Nashville in August 2009. Their
self-titled debut album was released in October 2010.
-
Their single “If I Die Young” topped the country charts in
December. It also crossed over to the pop charts, where it peaked at No.
5 on the adult contemporary chart. The song won the band the
Breakthrough Video of the Year from the CMT Awards and has notched three
nominations – Single, Song and Video of the Year – from the CMA Awards,
which will be presented in November. The band also is nominated for
Group of the Year and New/Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
-
“If I Die Young” is the second of four singles off the band’s
self-titled debut album. The group debuted with “Hip to My Heart” in
2009 and followed “Die” with “You Lie.” Its current single, “All Your
Life,” is sitting inside the Top 10. The album has been certified
platinum.
-
TBP will join Brad Paisley’s tour this month and continue writing and recording their second album.
