Ryman Auditorium Stage To Be Replaced
The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville has only had two stages in its 120-year history. The first was installed in 1901 and the second in 1951. It’s heavily scarred from performers that have included Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Taylor Swift and countless others. An 18-inch strip of oak from the old stage will run on the edge of the new one. The last scheduled concert is Opry At The Ryman on Friday, featuring The Oak Ridge Boys, Charley Pride and Keith Urban. Work begins Saturday. The Band Perry is scheduled to hit the new stage on February 20th.
