There’s not one single ballad on Trace Adkins’ new album – and there’s a good reason for it. Trace says he wasn’t going to do any ballads for the album because he started to think “beyond the album” and “whether it’s going to contribute to the energy level of the live show.” Adkins says, “These days it’s all about live performances. It’s all about touring.” He says artists often “can’t depend on living off of record sales anymore.” Trace’s new CD, “Cowboy’s Back in Town,” is available now.
