Since bringing his Meet Me Halfway walk across America to an end in August, Jimmy Wayne has continued to spread awareness for teen homelessness. Last night, Jimmy participated in the 12th annual “Angels in Adoption Gala” in Washington, D.C., saluting those who work to make a difference for children who need families. Jimmy was asked to perform “Elephant Ears,” a song he wrote about a child growing up in the foster care system. This year’s Angels in Adoption honorees included actresses Kristin Chenoweth and Rhea Perlman, TV’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” and 140 others who have worked to support children in foster care or adoption.
