Travis Tritt plans to launch his own record label for his next album. Tritt tells Billboard he’s seeking financial partners, but that he’s handling the creative side of the business himself. He released his most recent album, “The Storm,” on Category 5 Records in 2007, but later sued the label alleging breach of contract and fraud. Tritt released his first single, “Country Club,” on Warner Bros. Nashville in 1989, then moved to Columbia in 2000.
