The Eagles left the Cardinals with a mess. The Eagles and the Dixie Chicks played Busch Stadium in St. Louis last Thursday. Groundskeepers worked 41 straight hours to fix the field in time for a seven-game home stand that began Monday. A large rectangular area next to the warning track in right field was crushed by a crane and had to be replaced. Another long patch behind first base had to be replaced as well.
