Underwood, ACM Create ‘Temporary Home’ Fund For Flood Victims
Carrie Underwood and the Academy of Country Music have committed initial funding to create the ACM Lifting Lives Temporary Home Fund to assist families devastated by the recent floods in Middle Tennessee. The campaign takes its name from Carrie’s hit “Temporary Home.” A week ago, the organization received money generated from ticket sales to “ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn – The Last Rodeo,” airing Sunday on CBS. Underwood has also designated the Temporary Home Fund as the beneficiary of grants she will receive as the ACM’s reigning Entertainer of the Year. During the telecast of the Brooks & Dunn tribute, Underwood will be featured in a public service announcement encouraging viewer to text ACM to 501501 to make a one-time $10 donation to the fund. Donations can also be made online at www.ACMliftinglives.org and www.CBS.com/give.
