Mindy McCready was hospitalized briefly in Cape Coral, Florida, yesterday after police received an overdose call. Now McCready’s mother says she may have overreacted when she called 911. Gayle Inge said she called 911 after having problems communicating with McCready. McCready broke her toe this past weekend. Saying she gave her daughter two Darvocet pills to ease the pain, Inge said Mindy’s behavior raised concerns that she had possibly taken additional pills. Mindy says she just had a bad reaction to the painkillers. McCready has a history of health and legal problems stemming from substance abuse. She recently appeared on VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew.”
