Lady Antebellum is set to make their “Saturday Night Live” debut as musical guests on the October 1st episode. Hosting that night will be actress Melissa McCarthy of “Mike and Molly” and “Bridesmaids” fame. Lady A’s Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood are in rare company. Country acts are not often asked to play on “SNL.” In the past 10 years, only Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, the Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill and Keith Urban have represented Nashville on the show.
