George Jones will celebrate his 80th birthday at the Grand Ole Opry. His birthday is actually September 12th but the Opry celebration will be a day later on the 13th. Jones will be serenaded by several Opry members, including Alan Jackson, Montgomery Gentry, Joe Diffie, Pam Tillis and Oak Ridge Boys. Performances are also expected from special guests Jamey Johnson and others. George Jones has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry more than half his life. He became a member 55 years ago.
