Alan Jackson will perform at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., on September 11th to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Patti LaBelle and soprano Denyce Graves will also sing at “A Concert for Hope,” airing live on numerous ABC affiliates. In the days following the 9/11 tragedy, the National Cathedral served as a sacred national gathering place for mourning, reflection and prayer. Jackson premiered his original song about 9/11, “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning),” on the 2001 CMA Awards in Nashville.
