Jimmy Dean died knowing he’d been selected for the Country Music Hall of Fame, but he didn’t get to go to the ceremony. It was planned for this October. His wife says she thinks he was looking forward to it. Dean had tied with Ferlin Husky in voting, so both were selected. Husky’s induction was a few weeks ago, with Billy Sherrill. Jimmy Dean’s induction ceremony was set for October with Don Williams.
