Two Arkansas men were killed Saturday morning in Louisiana when the pickup truck they were traveling in crashed into a tour bus owned by Trace Adkins
. Police said the pickup crossed the center line and slammed into the bus. Adkins
was not on board at the time and none of the passengers on the bus suffered any serious injuries. Adkins hurried to the scene and transported several band members to their hotel before visiting several others at the hospital. The two occupants of the pickup, driver, Justin R. Maxey, 21, and passenger, Jeffrey R. Ferguson Jr., 36, were reportedly killed on impact. Several witnesses reported seeing the pick-up truck swerving before hitting Adkins’ bus. The bus was headed to Bossier City, Louisiana, for Adkins’ Saturday night concert with Martina McBride
and Sarah Buxton
