Brooks & Dunn Speak In Country Weekly

The rumors have been flying ever since Brooks & Dunn announced that they were calling it quits, saying “adios” to their record label and hitting the road for one last “Farewell Tour” together. This week’s Country Weekly Magazine asks the tough questions and gets the hard answers from one of country music’s most-awarded duos. Ronny and Kix recall when a producer put the two of them together in a studio for the first time in 1990. Ronny says, “It felt natural. It felt right.” Kix says, “I doubt either one of us looked at it as putting aside our solo aspirations. It was just an opportunity.” What happens next could be the subject of the special announcement they’ll make at CRS 2010 later this month.
