Toby Keith Plays Wayman Tisdale Tribute

Toby Keith performed Saturday during the University of Oklahoma’s tribute to late college basketball Hall of Famer Wayman Tisdale. Keith sang “Cryin’ For Me (Wayman’s Song)” during halftime of the Oklahoma Sooners men’s basketball game. The song was written in memory of Tisdale, who died last May from cancer at the age of 44. In addition to being OU’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder before entering the NBA, Tisdale was a contemporary jazz bassist. Several members of Tisdale’s former band and saxophonist Tom Braxton accompanied Keith. Toby collaborated with Tisdale on his final album, “Rebound,” singing a remake of Barry White’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.”
