“American Idol” finalist Casey James, who placed third on the ninth season, has signed a record deal with Sony Music Nashville and 19 Recordings/BNA Records. The Cool, Texas, native auditioned in Denver but says he never saw a single episode of the show. James is currently on the “American Idols Live” tour with winner Lee DeWyze and runner-up Crystal Bowersox, among others. James will begin working on his debut album, which is expected to be released next year.
